Fusion De Maya is an artist-run business specializing in colorful handwoven Guatemala Maya textile products designed by Marjorie Puryear. Our fashion conscious bamboo scarves are handwoven on traditional backstrap looms by members of an artisan textile cooperative in Solola, in the Highlands of Guatemala. All bamboo yarns are hand-dyed at the cooperativa in very small batches to match Marjorie's unique color specifications. By continuing the practice of handweaving on backstrap looms Fusion De Maya helps sustain Mayan textile traditions. We are pleased to support indigenous weavers with income opportunities.
