Taleo Handmade works with ethnic minority women in remote villages in Southeast Asia. By purchasing handwoven textiles directly from artisans using fair trade principles, we support sustainable livelihoods for skilled traditional weavers, natural dyers, batik artists and embroiderers. Founded by textile expert Sally Strasser with the goal of supporting women artisans and preserving textile traditions, Taleo Handmade creates one-of-a kind bags, accessories,and home goods. Our designs are made according to zero-waste practices using artisan-made hemp and cotton textiles that are naturally-dyed in harmony with the environment. These sustainably crafted goods honor traditional textile communities in Laos and Vietnam and support the continuation of their heritage techniques.
