Bio:

We are a family owned Sherpa business and Sherpas are one of the Indigenous groups of people from Nepal who are an ethnic minority in Nepal with Tibetan origin. We are based in Vermont and Nepal where my father, mother and sister is involved in the operation. We practice fair trade principles in which we make sure that the products are made in a safe environment, the artisans are paid well, the products are environment friendly, we share the knowledge to empower our artisans through regular visits, training and we provide sustainable jobs throughout the year. Many of our crafts are hand made by economically disadvantaged and marginalized artists, most of whom are women and because of us opening market for their beautifully made goods, the artists are able to bring income, are able to being a productive member of the society and not become victims of traffickers and other abuses.
